At 66, his career in information technology has taken him to every corner of the world, fueling an insatiable curiosity about how things work and how people live. His extensive travels and rich interactions with diverse cultures, languages, religions, and cuisines have profoundly influenced his worldview, a perspective that is vividly brought to life in his debut novel.

This first foray into the world of fiction is the culmination of three years of conceptual evolution and over five years of dedicated writing. Franks weaves a tale that is as realistic as it is intricate, a narrative where the realms of power, deception, and survival intersect in a way that could very well mirror today’s events.

When he isn’t crafting complex narratives, Theodore cherishes his “bubble” of family and friends. He enjoys splitting his time between Tybee Island, Georgia, and Daufuskie Island, South Carolina. His passions include writing novels, drumming, gardening, traveling, and cooking. Active in his community, he proudly participates in various organizations including serving on the City of Tybee Island, Georgia Planning Commission, the American Legion (Post 154, Tybee Island, Georgia), the Savannah Chapter of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, the Knights of Columbus (Council 631, Savannah, Georgia), the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, and the Savannah St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee.

A guiding principle in his life is simple yet profound: “Do Everything with Excellence.” This commitment to excellence not only defines his personal ethos but also breathes life into his storytelling, inviting readers to experience a narrative where every detail is meticulously crafted and every twist is a testament to his global perspective.
